This trick works in all Microsoft Word versions and it generates English-validating filler text.

Filler text in Microsoft Word

  1. Place your cursor where you want your free English filter text to appear.
  2. Type in (as it is, without quotes): “=rand(X,Y)” where X is the number of paragraphs and Y is the number of sentences per paragraph.
  3. Save your filler text document.
